Birthday CAKE for Sparkle!

Well, it's our friend Eddie Izzard... cake or death. As done by a wonderful new female talent.

My oldest daughter showed me this, I thought the young lady was delightful. What goes better with birthday wishes than old cake we have all seen before with different icing. Hey birthday cake is birthday cake unless it's Eddiefide!

I realized the clip was gone, sorry. Funny kid, check her out!

for Sparkle Plenty

Sparkle talks about the squirrels.

I was at a traveling zoo today with the wee ones. The younger wee ones loved it, the older ones did too, though they complained the whole time, as teens will.

Well there were squirrel monkeys. I thought of Sparkle. I only had my phone with me so the photos are not what they could be.

The older ones did the Eddie Izzard act about squirrels and make up and leavening the gas on.

In case you don't know it, here it is.

Hopefully I figure out how to get the photos in here.

Eddie Izzard is the bomb

I just got back, went down to Boston town with the mate and saw Eddie Izzard start his new tour.

He was 'the dog's bollocks'.

It was a good mix of college kids and older folks.

Some yelled out "I love you Wayne!"

And he looked down shook his head and said "I told them in Europe you understood irony. Don't prove me wrong!" HA HA HA.

Very funny. I resisted watching the Youtube stuff from his practice runs. I wanted everything to be new. Hopefully he makes a DVD like the last tours and we can rerun it over and over again.

I am still so hyped up on Eddie, I am to wired to sleep. Usually I am tired by now. But the Eddie goodness is like caffeine right into my veins.

One couple had brought their teenage kids. I thought it was great they got into it. I saw people who were grandparent age too. It was nice to see the diversity. There were people of all ages and colours having a great time. It was lovely. It seems so many acts are racial divided, still. That when I see a mixed crowd and mixed age all laughing at there not being a god it is all good.

I think only in a blue state will you get a great applause over saying there is no god. I wonder if he will change that for the red states.

It was a bit of a ride, but well worth it. The place was sold out. And the theater is so small. Meaning the seats are close, and everyone is cramped. It's an old theater. I had seen other acts in old theaters. I was glad this one had air conditioners that came on. Last time I was in an old theatre, it was in the hottest day of August that year, 500 people no air conditioners, because they were too old and you couldn't hear the band if they turned them on. But we forgot all about that and got drunk and sang along to the band. Funny how somethings that normally drive you nuts , can ad to the atmosphere in other occasions, and add to the story.

But if anyone is going to see Eddie this tour, other than saying he was his normal brilliant self, I wont ruin the jokes. It's part of the fun, for it all to be new. But it is worth the buckage to have some hours of laughter.

Lois, if you read this, you got to catch him!

And don't yell out "I love you Wayne!"

Christopher Walken

I was watching Eddie do an imitation of Walken doing Shakespeare when I realized how funny Walken is.

I had seen this movie "romance and cigarettes" some time ago and found the clip on youtube. VERY odd movie. Eddie in it in a bit part. But I really loved his song dance 1950-60's shirt and love spat and the whole West Side story theme.

"It was my first love, I traced her name in cow shit, she was my first, my last my everything."

This has got to be one of those memorable lines. The line I must use sometime.

BTW the whole move is very odd. Not your average musical. So if you think it will be funny or uplifting, as musicals usually are, it's not. But I think worth watching anyway.

Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty...

You know I always saw the cute blankets and pillows and clothes but I never saw the show. The show that has been around since, forever.

My wee ones loved the hello kitty things, dolls, clothes, blankets and pillows. So I rented the Hello Kitty DVD. I have now been trying to ignore it for 5 days now.

My littlest wee one, watch it over and over and over again. And this is what wee ones do. I have been through this before. But not with DVDs that have a female voice that is driving me crazy!

She is talking down to the children. In real simple words. This is undoing all the trips to the art museums and documentaries on ancient cultures I have been for feeding them.

I fear the intelligence level of my poor child is plummeting.

But as the child is singing the song over and over and over, perfectly, she comes over and sees Eddie Izzard and giggles over and over again and says "he's so silly!"

I realized things three things:

1. maybe this is a guilty pleasure of her childhood. And if you are going to to watch something made for 4 year olds, you should be 4. Just as long as a 4 year old can still enjoy Eddie with Legos.

2. This child can sing. maybe I should teach the rest how to play instruments and start a family band an exploit them to buy a big house in the big house people place. Wait things would get too much like the riches if I did that. I could pretend to be a lawyer. Oh never mind. Still could be a stage mom, not like Britney Spears' mom, but more like Beyonce's mom.

3. Hello Kitty and friends were a LOT more cute and fun when I never saw the show.

I wonder how soon before I can bring it back so that I don't traumatize the wee one in the process? Maybe I could say the Weevils stole it. Wah HA HA.

Lois and Cake's talk of Weevil Proms and Frisky Frocks has made me think it is time to get a little more girly myself.

Eddie the politician?

Eddie Izzard eyes possible career in European politics2008-04-20 22:08:40
NEW YORK (AP) — British comedian Eddie Izzard, whose acting career is taking off, is eyeing yet another possible career — politician.
Izzard, who plays Wayne Malloy in FX's "The Riches" and who just finished shooting "Valkyrie," starring Tom Cruise, told Newsweek he sees himself getting into European politics at some point.
"We've got to make it work in Europe," the cross-dressing comedian, 46, told the magazine for its issue hitting newsstands Monday. "People are very worried about sovereignty and the loss of sovereignty. I think the stakes are if we don't make the European Union work, then the world is screwed. End of story."
Izzard, who's lending his voice to the upcoming film "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," said he enjoyed working on "Valkyrie." The film stars Cruise as Col. Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg, the aristocratic army officer executed after a failed attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944.
Izzard's standup comedy act, "Stripped," is set to begin April 28 in Boston.

Cross dressing comedian being prime minister.

This is almost like that movie with Robin Williams, where he plays , basically John Stewart than becomes president because the cheaters at the ballots got mixed up. It was called Man of the Year.

It could be good. A funny politician. Who will try to be funny. How could political comics make jokes off his joke, would they be then stealing Eddie's jokes?

And this can start his campaign:
