videos 1969

I loved this song as a wee one. I would sing it all over the wee yard.

HOWDY!!! Y'know what? I have to wait to watch these 'cause my laptop (aka "the computer with sound") has died and my desktop (aka ancient beast I can do my work on, but where the heck are the speakers?) reigns supreme. FEH! Hope you're havin' a good week!

Oh nos!

At least you can read the story.

The videos I stuck in between, except for valentines day, are just meant to enhance the mood. Music from the time, trailers, etc.

WOW: Looking back over all of the chapters and videos is GREAT--you've really created a smoothly blended multimedia kinda experience. I'm not sure if I've ever seen that done with a blog before. The whole experience of it kinda deserves its very own blog!

Happy weekend.

Thank You Sparkle.

It was what I was trying to achieve. Videos that could get you into the mood, explain back grounds of characters. Get you into their worlds.

I espaically picked videos with hippies with children as well.

Here's a quirky thought that I had last night as I was doing the dishes (yes, I thought "I need more detergent," but I had another thought, too): If this was a YA novel, you could include the lyrics of some songs (with appropriate copyright permission blah blah) and as illustrations you could include collages (well, not actual collages--images of collages) that create the same kinds of moods that your Youtube clips create...

What is a YA novel?

Back when I worked in a library, YA stood for Young Adult. I'm assuming it still does, but who knows! :-) I'd think that this book would be a good one for that age group (older teens) for a few different reasons. Suitable for an older audience, too, of course.

Just an idea that hit me while I was washing dishes. Feel free to ignore it!

Young adult. I get it. I never read young adult books. Funny enough.

New chapter should be soon.
